An Appellant Brief is how you tell the appellate court why you think the trial court should not have ruled against you and why the appellate court should change that decision.
Use this form if you filed the appeal.
You must file the Appellant Brief after you file the record on appeal and notice on appeal.
To use this form, you will need:
- Your name, address, phone number, and email,
- The other party's contact information,
- You need to know what happened in the trial court,
- Your appellate court and trial court case number,
- The record on appeal,
- The report of the proceedings, and
- Legal authority (cases and statutes) that support your argument.
