Assistance for women, infants, and children or WIC

Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) is a federal food assistance program. It is separate from Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. WIC helps pregnant women, new mothers, and young children eat well and stay healthy. The program provides supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education. In Illinois, you can call (800) 323-4769 or visit their website for more details.
