Biological father of child is unknown in adoption case

If you do not know who the father of the child you want to put up for adoption is, a search of the Putative Father Registry must be done to make sure that no supposed father of the child has registered. This way the adoptive parents can make sure that the consent of the supposed father is not necessary.

In this case, you should talk to a lawyer to get help with the next steps in the adoption.
