To use this program, you must have Misdemeanor or Class 4 felony convictions for Sections 4 and 5 of the Cannabis Control Act. The convictions must have happened before June 25, 2019, in Illinois. To clear other criminal records, use our Criminal record expungement or sealing request program.
If you are not a US citizen, you should consult an immigration lawyer before you try to seal or expunge your record. Any evidence of criminal activity, even if sealed or expunged, can be used in proceedings.

To complete this program, you will need:
- Court Dispositions for all of your criminal cases,
- Your Illinois State Police RAP Sheet, and
- If you had arrests or charges in Chicago, your Chicago Police RAP Sheet.
You also need to know the outcome of your cannabis court cases.
