To use this program:
- You must have been evicted from your apartment or rental unit during a foreclosure case against your landlord,
- When the eviction process started, you were up to date on your rent, or making a good effort to pay rent, and
- When the eviction process started, you were not in violation of any other terms of your lease.
To use this program, you will need:
- The original eviction papers you received, and
- The address of the mortgage company or bank that evicted you.
This program makes the following forms. The forms you get will depend on your answers.
- Motion to Seal Court Records Pursuant to 735 ILCS 5/15-1701
- Notice of Motion
- Order to Seal Court Records Pertaining to an Eviction
- Order to Seal Court Records Pertaining to a Supplemental Eviction Petition
