Your current title

Intellectual Property Litigation Partner, Kirkland & Ellis LLP

How did you first hear about or get involved with ILAO?

I first became involved with ILAO when I worked there as a PILI Fellow in summer 2012.

I became a PILI Fellow at ILAO because I was drawn to ILAO’s mission of leveraging technology to bring justice to everyone. The use of innovation to increase the accessibility of legal resources really resonated with my background in intellectual property and the intersection of law and technology.

How else are you involved with ILAO?

I have been a member of the Young Professionals Board the last eight years and am also a member of the Connectors’ Circle for the last two years.

Why do you still contribute to ILAO?

It has been a joy to see the organization grow and evolve over the last 9 years.  I have seen the impact ILAO has had on those who are in need of legal services and have been so proud to be a contributor to ILAO’s mission.

Favorite technology of the moment

Zoom and other video platform technologies -- it is helping to keep me connected with so many people during the pandemic!

Alternative career

I love writing and would love to author a book.

What law would you create?

I recall reading about a California town that had a law that “guaranteed sunshine to the masses.”  I would agree with expanding that to everywhere.
