If you are an employer, you can get a Workplace Protection Restraining Order if your employee is:
- A victim of violence at work, or
- Is under threat of violence at work,
In a Workplace Protection Restraining Order, the judge can order an abuser to:
- Not engage in any acts of violence, harassment, or stalking at the workplace;
- Stay away from the workplace; and
- Pay for the damaged property as a result of the violence.
If the abuser works at the workplace, the judge has to consider how serious the past violence was before ordering the abuser to stay away from the workplace. They also must consider whether an employee is still in danger of physical or emotional harm.
